THE CHINESE USE TWO BRUSH STROKES

TO WRITE THE WORD "CRISIS".

ONE BRUSH STROKE STANDS FOR DANGER, THE OTHER FOR OPPORTUNITY.

IN A CRISIS, BE AWARE OF THE DANGER -

BUT RECOGNIZE

THE OPPORTUNITY.

John F. Kennedy

What is true in life, is certainly true when it comes to art.

Times of crisis and their aftermath,

have triggered great leaps forward

in art history.

The idea that “in the midst of every crisis, lies great opportunity”, is all the more true when it comes to the art market.

A market, that is highly imperfect in

its pricing of value, and where collectors from all over the world have been know

to loose their money or make a fortune.

Still coming out of the COVID period,

which was characterized by loose monetary policies triggering asset bubbles and distortions in most asset classes, the art market is currently undergoing a slow-down, at least

that is how the media relays it.

We think the recent exuberance and irrational behaviour, which arguably accompanies any hot market, lead to more than just a slow down.

In this crisis, collectors are faced

with a historic opportunity to acquire important works by established and confirmed artists, as well as emerging ultra-contemporary talent that truly stands a chance to contribute to art history. This crisis is an opportunity

to focus on art that truly matters.

02.

WE OFFER TRANSPARENT AND OBJECTIVE ADVICE ON HOW TO COLLECT ART FROM AFRICA + DIASPORA.

Founded by art collector Klaus Pas

in 2018 as an online platform to promote the work of established and emerging international artists, Kloser Art Projects proactively reacted to the rising global interest for art by African artists

by focusing its project-based nomad program on contemporary work

by artists from Africa and its European Diaspora more specifically.

We offer transparent and objective advice to new and established collectors, whether private or corporate,

when it comes to the acquisition, selling,

and valorisation of their art collection.

Our curatorial and art historical understanding of global Post-war and Contemporary Art allows us to identify thought-provoking narratives joining past and present across the West and Africa.

We like to engage with our collectors’ passion, to understand where they come from and where they would like to take their collection. We also accompany them in the creation of catalogues featuring the art they collect, or guide them when loaning their work to institutions,

and advise them on how to exhibit

their collection publicly.

Acquisitions can now be made at much fairer values than at pre-COVID levels which already reflected exaggerations in both the primary

and secondary markets.

Contrary to common belief, the art market is less opaque and difficult to navigate than advertised.

Clearly, one work is never perfectly equal to another, and geographical arbitrage still exists, but market timing is perhaps the most important element to consider when assessing an investment-based acquisition.

Remember the works by American and Chinese masters which became so much more affordable when the Japanese stock market bubble burst, followed by

the global art market unravelling.

As in the stock market, with the return of volatility comes opportunity. We believe these are exciting times to collect.

Together, we can start a conversation, defining how art - the way you conceive it - can nourish a genuine global dialogue,

enriching society through diversity

and unique point of views.

03.

CONTRARY TO COMMON BELIEF,

THE ART MARKET

IS LESS OPAQUE

AND DIFFICULT

TO NAVIGATE

THAN ADVERTISED.

04.

AFRICA + DIASPORA

IS OUR CORE FOCUS.

IT IS THE FUTURE.

Art history (global & local) will become overwhelmingly defining in assessing the work of artists.

Cumulating more than a decade of active acquisition experience on behalf of European and American collectors,

we are now focusing our know-how

on Modern and Contemporary Art

from Africa and the Diaspora.

It is still an emerging market with

a universe of actors, in which art history (global & local) will become overwhelmingly defining in assessing

the work of artists - which periods in their work to favour, what works to look for,

and where to buy them ?

Following hundreds of acquisitions of artworks by artists from Africa and the Diaspora on behalf of international collectors (through the primary and secondary markets, but also via our nomad gallery program and art projects in Europe and the USA), we are now offering our tailor-made services to young and veteran collectors who wish

to start or strengthen their collection.

Our bespoke advice takes account of every collector’s interest, ambition,

and budget.

Together, we wish to enrich the art collecting experience by bringing collectors closer to artists,

but also by taking advantage of

the compelling acquisition opportunities which are now appearing

in the art market.
